The Scout RecordKeeper is Designed to track the scouting records of a single troop. Attempts to rename the database is not a good idea. Because RecordKeeper is shareware, this means that you may try out Scout good idea. Because RecordKeeper is shareware, this means that you may try out Scout
RecordKeeper for 30 days to give it a good work-out with the 5 records allowed in this demo. If you continue to use the database or want to have full access then you are obligated to pay the $40 fee per troopC
for using it. By No Means Is This Database Free. you may distribute it to others to try but it is not right to continue using it without paying. This type of Try-Before-You-Buy idea is what Shareware is base
d on. If you were charged by someone to get this database, you still have not payed for it. Only payments to Audio Electric Systems count as payment.
After your registration form & fee are received by Audio E
Electric Systems is received you will receive by mail a receipt and a password which will give you further access to the database and allow creation of more records. If you need a feature that is not available

HelpB
Limitations: Until you have paid your Shareware fee to Audio Electric Systems and received your password you will not be allowed to create or add any new records to this database. After you have your password B
you will only be limited in editing of the basic graphics and layouts but will be able to edit the reports.
Getting Started: Start in the Home area by entering all the information about each scout. It is imp
ortant to add their birthday and the date they entered the troop for accurate operation of the Database. Once entered proceed to the Parent/Guardian area (button on bottom right) Here you would enter the infoD
rmation for the two parents alomg with how to contact in an emergency. This info prints out on the directory. When entering the information Start with the Phone number since if it matches the scouts phone num
ber will copy the address from the other area.
Rank Info: By pressing the button for each rank you can see the information pertinent to that rank. Start with Tenderfoot entering the appropriate and complete F
info. If you do not know the Day of the dates then enter 1 as the default day to make it consistent. Using 31 will not always work since not all months have 31 days. Note: There is more information than can
be seen on the screen. Scroll down using the right scroll bars to see service & positions data.
Reports & Passwords: Until the shareware fee is paid you will not have the priviledges of changing the layoutsH
. Thus all reports will display an incorrect troop number until the fee is paid and then you may change the troop number. You may also change any reports or create new ones once the fees have been paid. Howe
ver no scripting will ever be allowed. If you want to have a new layout scripted you must have AES do it. We are sorry but this is our only way to protect ourselves from plaigarism.
Status Box: In the Star,J
Life & Eagle area there is a status box showing the current verification of the dates. This only checks the date an award was received not the merit badges, service or positions since this information may oft
en be incomplete In future versions you may see it as an option to include this info in the calculation. The date a scout entered the troop is vital to this calculation.
